I ate one giant pan of Keto Chow German Pancakes every day for Three Days. These are my results.

Why I Made This Keto Chow/Egg Fast Challenge

I am one of those lucky people who has found that losing post pregnancy weight is SO HARD! It’s been a year, and I am pretty much the same weight as the week after having my baby.

I keep trying different methods to lose weight. One that was successful a couple of years ago, was the egg fast (Check out what that is here). But it made me hate eggs for a while. Then I discovered keto chow. And did a Keto Chow challenge with 3 shakes a day for 7 days (here are my results for that). Which was also fairly successful.

But here’s the thing. Keto Chow is kinda expensive. It ends up being $5-6 a shake including the added fat. . . that’s somewhere between $15-$20 a day! For people who eat out, that might seem pretty reasonable. But I’m a stay-at-home mom with 5 kids. We gotta budget.

So I found this “German Pancake” Recipe that was the same one that I used during my egg fast, but this time they added a packet of Keto Chow to it. So now we have the perfect Keto Chow German Pancakes!

I added up the calories on my tracking app, and found that if I only ate one pan of these each day, it would be similar to the egg diet, but a little tastier. . . and hopefully more nutritious!

So I did it for 3 days, and I’ll show you my results.

First Let’s talk Keto Chow.

  4. Optional Cheese: You can eat up to 1 oz. of cheese per egg.
  5. Limit Carbs: Keep carbs below 5 grams per day.
  6. Hydration: Stay hydrated with water and zero-calorie beverages.

Eggs are a powerhouse of nutrients! Packed with protein, vitamins, and minerals like choline and selenium, they boost metabolism, curb hunger, and aid in muscle repair. Plus, they’re affordable and incredibly versatile.

Average Success:

While results vary, many individuals report rapid weight loss and improved energy levels during a 3-day egg fast. The typical weight loss can range from 3-8 pounds, but it’s crucial to transition back to a balanced diet post-fast.

Quick Recipe Tips:

  1. Egg-Ceptional Scrambles: Mix eggs with, cheese, avocadoes, and seasonings for a filling meal.
  2. Devilishly Delicious Deviled Eggs: Spice up your fast with deviled eggs using mayo, mustard, and paprika.
  3. Microwave Cheesecake: Using eggs, cottage cheese and sweetener, you can make a decent breakfast/dessertish cheesecake (recipe Here).

Pros:

  • Rapid Weight Loss: Shedding pounds quickly can boost motivation.
  • Resetting Eating Patterns: Helps break food cravings and reset habits.
  • Simple and Affordable: Eggs are affordable and easy to prepare.

Cons:

  • Short-Term Solution: Rapid weight loss might not be sustainable in the long term.
  • Possible Nutrient Deficiency: Limited variety can lead to deficiencies if prolonged.
  • Challenging for Some: Eating only eggs for three days can be tough for those who crave variety.

Adding Keto Chow Into An Egg Fast.

So what I did was I took eggs, Cream cheese, and one packet of ketochow. and baked it. It had enough calories and fats to last me through the day. So I just cut out pieces whenever I was hungry.

Here is the recipe

Keto Chow Egg Fast German Pancakes

  • 8 eggs
  • 1 stick of butter (melted)
  • 1 block of cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 package of keto chow (cheapest at their website if buying in bulk. But try this if you want to just test it with one packet)
  • (optional vanilla and keto sweetener for taste)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using a blender, blend the 8 eggs till frothy, add butter and cream cheese, blend well. Add package of keto chow with optional vanilla and sweetener, blend. Pour into a greased baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes until middle is completely done.

Now, did I lose weight?

One pound.

That may or may not sound like a lot to you. I’ve lost way more in 3 days before. . . But most experts agree that losing 1-2 pounds a week is the most stable and healthy way to go. So 1 pound every 3 days would be about 2 pounds a week. So not a failure eating Keto Chow German Pancakes. Just not as effective as I’ve found the pure egg fast to be.
