I have tried both the Keto Beef and Butter fast and the Keto Egg fast. So comparing the keto fasts, both of them worked well for me.
I did the egg fast first, and at a higher weight. Here are my results (Egg Fast)
I lost 3 pounds in 3 days: – 1.89% of body weight.
I lost 5 1/2 pounds in 3 days with the beef and butter fast. which was 3.33% of body weight. But I did start right after a cheat day, so I was up 3 pounds more than in normal keto. So I only really count 2 pounds. Which was 1.36% of my body weight.
I did the Beef and Butter at a lower weight, so even though a few pounds doesn’t sound impressive, the closer I get to my ideal weight, the more I rejoice in any extra pound that I lose. (Beef and Butter)
(I also tried another 3 day diet called the military diet – See how it compares to the egg fast HERE)

What is the Keto Egg Fast?
Simply put, it is a 3 day diet, where you eat only eggs, fats, cheese (optional) and seasonings (optional). A minimum of 6 eggs a day, with 1 Tablespoon of fat per egg, and 1 oz of cheese per egg. That’s it! It should help with any keto stalls.
What is the Keto Beef and Butter Fast?
It is a pretty simple diet as well. Eat only Beef and Butter, with seasonings, for 3 days. I couldn’t find exactly how much you were supposed to eat of it. So I would just make sure that you are eating your minimum calories, and make sure you have a good fat to protein ratio.

Comparing Keto 3 Day Fasts: How hard were the diets to follow?
By the end of the egg fast, I started getting major egg aversion, and it was a chore to make sure I ate the minimum amount of eggs. I didn’t feel hungry enough to eat them.
By the end of the Beef fast, I was daydreaming of regular keto foods, like nuts and cucumbers. I never felt starved, but I always had a bit of hunger lingering, like it wasn’t quite enough. But I could have gone on for days, I didn’t get any food aversions during it. I did make sure that I took digestion enzymes (Cholacol) and it helped with sluggishness.

Who would benefit from the egg fast?
The egg fast would help those who have been on the keto diet for a while now and are fat adapted. This diet really should not be done by someone new to keto. The keto diet on it’s own will help you lose weight. If you are new to keto check out my 1 week beginner meal plan.
It is for keto-adapted people who are having a stall. It helps by taking out all the ‘extras’ that can be found in the keto diet.
Since we all have different tendencies, there may be a certain ‘keto-friendly’ food that is messing us up without realizing it. For me, it turns out I get an allergic reaction to Stevia, which makes me REALLY SAD! But it was stopping me from moving forward because my body was always fighting the allergy.
So the egg fast is a good chance to start with limited food, and slowly add in other keto foods to see if there is something that is bothering you that you need to eliminate from your diet.
This egg fast can be rough. I would suggest that if you plan on doing it, plan on using multiple recipes. The “oh, i’ll just eat scrambled eggs, or egg salad for three days’ plan,” will fail. It is just too much. I liked putting some sweet things like pancakes or microwave cheesecake in the mix.
Who would benefit from the Beef and Butter Fast?
Actually, I would say that with comparing keto fasts, there really wasn’t that much of a difference. It all depends on what your palate can handle.
