5 Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar besides Weightloss

I decided to take Apple Cider Vinegar for 2 weeks.

I discovered there were other wonderful benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar besides weight loss. . . because sadly, i didn’t actually lose any weight.

Starting Weight: 160 Lbs.

Ending Weight: 160 Lbs.

Over all I didn’t lose any weight, which is super sad of course, but the other benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar made me really happy.

I recorded some of my experiences during the 2 weeks, which are pretty awesome to read!

Overview of apple cider vinegar diet:

Day 1:

the first day I didn’t dilute the apple cider vinegar very much and i could kind of feel the vinegar throughout the day. 

But I generally  have a lot of stomach acid in the morning, so I kinda wonder if the apple cider vinegar just ate at the stomach acid. . . which doesn’t make sense because it is kind of acidic, so never mind.

But it did kind of help my stomach feel better, so i wonder if it is ok to sometimes not dilute it.

I pretty much just chug it in the morning so i might add just two more tablespoons at night to see what happens.

Day 2:

2 days ago I was 160, and 158 yesterday. And 156 today! And i found measuring right before lunch was the best time to measure.

Day 4:

I have been doing it for a few days now, morning and night, and I wish you could check out my tongue.

My tongue has literally never been cleaner, and then I was so curious, I have a tongue brush and I went to brush my tongue today and I was like whoa! My tongue was so clean and so pink.  

‘Oh does apple cider naturally clean your tongue and fix bad breath?’

So I looked it up online, and it literally does clean your tongue. And if your tongue is clean, your bad breath goes away. So I just love apple cider vinegar. It’s making my tongue clean.

Also the tongue brush is amazing, because the tongue brush will get rid of bad breath by scraping all the bad breath off your tongue. Which is where all the bad breath really lies.

If you don’t have one, you should get one.

Day 6:

So I’ve been drinking it morning and night and it’s disgusting.

I have noticed that I am not eating as much food.

I haven’t dropped weight, so I am still sitting at 160, which is fine. . . actually I hate it, I want to drop weight, but also i’m exercising so maybe i’m gaining muscle.

But what I do know is that my stomach is shrinking I am a lot skinnier around my belly. 

I also realized today that apple cider vinegar reminds me of Easter egg dye. Not that it tastes like that, because I don’t know what that tastes like, but it smells like it.

Day 7:

Yesterday I was at my friend’s house and she had apple cider vinegar with ‘the mother’. But it was a lemon cinnamon honey detox thing, and it tasted So GOOD!

It was funny because my friend tasted it and was like “this is nasty!”

but I was like, “you should have apple cider vinegar like I do every day and then this would taste amazing!”

So then I was like “I want to add honey to mine every day.”

But I’ll make it through. I haven’t really lost weight, but i have lost inches, my gut looks a lot better.

Day 14 – Last day:

“I love apple cider vinegar, I think that I will keep doing it.

It has helped me so much.

I feel less hunger during the day so I don’t eat as often, so I don’t snack on things.

But I have learned that if I take apple cider vinegar late at night, like after 10:00 I gag and have a hard time. But if I drink it before 9:30 I feel really good and I love it.

I look way better in a swimming suit, my love handles have shrunken so they are not in the same place anymore and smaller. And I don’t have as much back rolls anymore.

But I have also been running, so that helps too.

I really like the benefits of apple cider vinegar, I also had a friend who did it for 3 months and lost 30 lbs, but she was also exercising and stuff.

So i’ll keep doing it for a while longer. I’m still the same weight. 160, but i‘m more slender, and I don’t get hangry and I eat way less in the day.”

So To Sum It Up, Here Are My 5 Favorite Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar:

  1. Acid Reflux

I tried the Apple Cider Vinegar diet with two tablespoons, just in water, in the morning on an empty stomach.

And then I waited sometimes an hour to eat, with two tablespoons at night before I went to sleep (sometimes an hour before).

I tend to have some crazy stomach acid and I started noticing my stomach wasn’t hurting as much during the days- I honestly thought it would make it worse because ACV is kind of acidic… apparently it’s used often for stomach acid… haha oops! #shouldaknown.

  1. Inches really did melt away

My weight didn’t change much, in the first couple days I dropped a couple pounds but they came back.

Besides helping me feel better I was really impressed with the inches I seemed to lose despite no weight change.

My love handles and belly literally shrunk within a few days. I looked better in my dresses and my swimming suit (which is just the best thing!)

So, I guess it helps with bloating? I’m not sure, but I do know that I looked a lot better.

I was running once a day on the elliptical for about three miles which obviously helps, but I found the mixture of both things to be incredible for my body. Plus, I LOVE to run and be active so it was a perk 😊

  1. Clean Tongue

Another one of the Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar, is that I found that my tongue was cleaner, so that was cool.

I also found that if I drank my night batch around 9:30 pm as opposed to later I gagged less (that stuff is NASTY!)

My friend got an ACV that was a lemon, cinnamon, and honey detox kind and when she first tried it she told me “This is NASTY!” and I think she spit some out.

So I walked over to the sink and poured my own and tasted it and I said “You should have the apple cider vinegar like I do every day and then it would be amazing.”

Perspective. It’s important haha.

4. Hunger Suppressant.     And 5. Stabilized blood sugar.

The benefits of apple cider vinegar are really pretty amazing.

It helped me feel fuller and more energized longer.

I wasn’t falling back on random snacks or growling at my friends because I was ‘hangry’. This happens when my blood sugar plummets, which it didn’t do the whole 2 weeks!

I bet they appreciated that.

At the end of the 2 weeks I really did look a lot better.

I got a lot of compliments and I had less back fat rolls.

I could wear clothes better that I had looked okay in, but I really looked GREAT in them.

My love handles were not all gone, but smaller and shrunk to a lower part of my waist line.

My two cents is this, Apple Cider Vinegar is NASTY!

But mixed with good sleep, and 20-30 minutes of cardio daily is really beneficial and worth your time.

I read some studies about people who took ACV for an extended amount of time (a few years – if I remember right) and it caused damaged.

So I probably wouldn’t take it every day for a year. But the benefits of apple cider vinegar are hard to ignore, so i’ll probably take it for a month and then taking a break for a little bit and then when I want to get some bloating down, i’ll to do it again… that seems to be working for me at least.

Honestly, as nasty as it is, it’s been a game changer for my love handles and belly fat which is really the only part of me I need to slim up! So the Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar are worth it to me!

But again, so gross (at least the way I did it, my sister says it’s nice in a warm tea with honey- she’s going to make me some tomorrow so I can try it 😉)
