Starting Weight: 297 Lbs.
Ending Weight: 300 Lbs.
Try It Diet: 1 Tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in Orange juice with honey, for 2 weeks. Update: A week later I felt like it was too sugary for me, and I switched to ACV and plain water.
I have actually done a vinegar diet before. Years ago, my adopted grandma decided that I should lose weight.
She said that she would teach me how she lost over 100 lbs. But she would only tell me step by step.
So the first step was to drink water. I had to drink 96 oz of water a day.
“Do that every day, and after you have lost 10 lbs call me and I will tell you the next part.”
I said ok, and after I lost 10 pounds, it took about a month, I called her back, and she told me the second step was to put a tablespoon of vinegar in a cup of orange juice every morning. Just first thing every morning. It was just regular vinegar, not even acv.
I did it, and I lost 16 lbs! Soon I tired of drinking the vinegar in orange juice, so I quit doing it. And I was like,”I know this diet works, but it’s gross, so I’m not doing it anymore.”
I never found out what the third step was…
And now its funny that here I am years later, and guess what I’m about to do? Drink orange juice with apple cider vinegar in it. But this time I’m adding honey to it.
My One Week Journal Entry:
I have been doing apple cider vinegar for 6 days, and I haven’t noticed any difference. I haven’t weighed myself every day, but I’ve done every couple of days. I actually went up a few pounds a couple of days ago, and then today it went down, but not as much as it went up. I’m barely higher than when I started 5 days ago. However, I did eat ice cream at 10:00 last night. (I went to dairy queen). I have not changed any way of eating or any exercise. I’ve been sleeping horribly this week. I don’t blame the diet for that, but it makes me feel horrible, and then it changes how I eat, and I just want to sleep all day.
I was drinking the apple cider vinegar in orange juice, but the orange juice gives me a headache. As soon as I drink it, I can feel the headache coming on. I am technically pre-diabetic, so I am just going to switch to straight apple cider vinegar and water. I’ve done straight ACV before when I did a 2 month cleanse that my doctor prescribed, and it’s not a problem. So I just put a tablespoon in a shot glass of water and down it. It doesn’t taste great, but I don’t make a nasty face.
My Last Day Journal Entry:
I finished my apple cider vinegar diet today. It didn’t really make me lose weight. I lost 1 ½ inches off my waist, I don’t know how that happened without losing weight, but oh well. Anyways, it was alright. It helped curb my appetite, which I liked. But I ate horribly for these 2 weeks. It had nothing to do with apple cider vinegar, I always eat crappy off and on. This last week was a holiday weekend so eating was bad. But when I stayed at my parents house for four days, I lost 5 lbs. So who knows. Then I ate a ton of junk food on the way home, so by the end of the two weeks I was 3 lbs heavier.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Acid Reflux tip.
I already used apple cider vinegar to help with acid reflux. My son and I have acid reflux, and when it gets really bad, I put a Tablespoon in just 2 ounces of water, then drink it. I do drink a bunch of water afterwards because it is nasty and it helps to wash it down. I like to do it this way so I can do it in one nasty shot and chug down sweet, regular water afterwards and not have the nasty taste in the water as well. It really does help us with acid reflux pretty quickly.
