Take the Quiz to find out if she would like a practical, healthy gift, or a romantic, useless gift!

There is a big joke about how the easiest way for a man to end up in the dog house, is to give a treadmill to his wife as a gift.

Well, let me debunk this myth, and help you discover if giving a healthy gift is the right move to do or not.

Here’s the thing. trying to be healthy can be crazy expensive sometimes. have you seen the cost of a treadmill?

I asked my Facebook friends whether they would rather have a useful, healthy gift, even if it was a treadmill, or would rather have their spouse give them a non-essential, but romantic, gift.

There were a few who were all for the romance. But about 75% of the women said they would rather have the practical gift.

You see, there are a group of us women, who would love to be given something that we truly want AND NEED.

and there are some of us who have a logical and practical mind, who would love to see the money that is spent on gifts go to something extremely useful.

How do you know if that pertains to who you are shopping for?

Ask yourself these Questions:

  • Has she shared her hopes and dreams with you?
  • If yes, is there something you can buy that would bring her closer to achieving that hope and dream?

Write what you think her hopes and dream are. Now.

  • Which dream is talked about the most? Sometimes this comes as a complaint. “I wish I had______”. Or “I can’t do______because I don’t have_______”
  • Is staying healthy really important to her?
  • Do you have to ask to bring home donuts because you don’t know if she’ll say yes? If she will Always eat donuts no matter what without complaining, she may not want fitness equipment.
  • If you find a specialty food that follows her way of eating, and bring it to her. Does she glow with happiness? If so, you’d probably be pretty safe getting her a healthy gift that you KNOW she wants.

After asking yourself these questions, and you realize you should give her a practical, healthy gift, then read on to find out the best GIFTS!

Just to prove that some women do like healthy gifts, i’m going to tell you a little story about how awesome my Husband is.

My hubby got me this Sunny Stepper last year. And I was so excited!

He did his research, and knew that we were struggling with very little space in our home.

And that I was struggling with not having time to work out during the day (like who has time to do these no-equipment, 30 minute workouts?), but at night I was exhausted and didn’t want to focus on working out. I wanted to relax my mind and hang out with an adult.

But I was constantly frustrated with my lack of exercise.

I would tell him how a machine would solve all my problems except we had no where to put it.

So he found this compact little device that I could watch shows and exercise without having to concentrate on what I was doing. I couldn’t have been happier with the choice of his present!

…Well, maybe if he got me a healthy meal delivery service for a year, so I never had to worry about how I was going to eat healthy that day. That would be cool too. But i’m not complaining about my awesome gift, i promise.

In the end, here is the takeaway:

If your wife is a romantic. get her a romantic gift.

If your wife feels overwhelmed all the time, get her a gift that can lessen her load, help her out.

Just make sure it will truly make her life better, not just yours.

The true dog house is if she has never mentioned her fitness goals and you get her a treadmill because YOU want that to be her goal.

Oh Heck No!

I may be a little obsessed with fitness. so here are my top 10 ‘healthy Gifts’ for my Christmas wish-list this year.

Feel free to use any, or all of these suggestions, to give to your loved one!

  • 1. My ultimate dream gift would be a healthy meal kit where the food is delivered straight to my door! I am a big fan of the keto diet, so I’ve had my eyes on this delivery service for a while.
  • 2. The next best thing from a delivery service, would be a meal planning service. Sometimes we just want to be told what to buy/make/eat for dinner and hope that it helps us lose weight. . . but only if what they tell us actually tastes good. That is why I suggest getting PLATEJOY. It helps you follow your diet (keto, paleo, Mediterranean, etc) but also has you go through an awesome survey, so every recipe is catered to you! If your woman has ever complained about not knowing what to make for dinner, or wants to lose weight, but doesn’t know what to make, she will LOVE platejoy. And it’s far cheaper than a meal delivery service.
  • 3. Another thing to look out for is if she has been complaining about missing out on some food because of her diet. Most pre-made diet food is expensive. So splurging for a gift will mean a lot.

Chances are, no matter what the diet, REBEL ice-cream is the diet ice-cream of choice,

  • 4. Along with a healthy diet, sometimes it’s not the ingredients that’s the problem, it’s the tools to make it. I have my eye on an airfryer, which so many of my friends swear by! It cooks things quickly, easily, and much more healthy than a full on oil fryer. Plus it’s supposed to be easy clean up. A dream tool for a cook who likes making delicious and healthy food, but doesn’t want to spend the time cooking or cleaning up.
  • 5. There is a regular cheap one. But my friends also swear by the instapot, or Pressure Cooker. so this more expensive one is the one I want because it is has an air fryer put together, which is perfect because I have a small kitchen, and don’t know where I would put two different cooking items on it.
  • 6. Before we move on from getting healthy through the kitchen. I just wanted to share with you some other cool gadgets that would make eating healthy easier.
  • 7. I know I mentioned a treadmill at the beginning of this post. So you knew it was coming. Let’s talk about the other half of health: Exercise. Treadmills are cool and all, but have you tried an elliptical? I love them! But I would pick this one because it’s 2-in-1, stable, and it’s not crazy bulky. The quality price-point is the best I can find on amazon.
  • 8. If she is a workout at home type of person, who wants a bit of variety, and just wants a program to follow to get results. consider getting her an online fitness program. My sister tried fasterwaytofatloss to prepare for her wedding, and loved it.
  • 9. A cheaper, but less personal choice is a 1 year beach body membership.
  • 10. Maybe your favorite person is more of an outdoor workout person, I know this is a little late to the game. but does she have a fitbit yet?

My hope is that my husband will read this blog post and get me some cool fitness gadgets this year.

And I hope you get your person exactly what they want.
