Should we be eating fruit while on keto? What are Some Good Low-Carb Fruits? And how should we incorporate them into our daily diet?

The keto diet has been life-changing for so many people, me included. One of the things that keto can do for us, is to help us break sugar cravings. Being addicted to sugar is no joke. And it is hard to go cold-turkey with sweets.

Luckily, keto can help you transition away from sugary sweets by providing you with a few natural sweet alternatives. Namely Fruit.

Sugary fruits like watermelon will still give me a sugar rush, but low-carb berries and lemons give me a taste of sweetness without the addictive need to keep eating.

I love sticking fresh blueberries in the freezer, and eating a handful as a quick, sweet snack. This can be done with a bunch of other berries as well. Not all berries are perfectly low carb. But for me, I have noticed that none of the berries I mentioned (in small doses, of course) will kick me out of ketosis.

But to warn you, you may have a different level of tolerance than I do. So pay attention to the things you eat, and how those foods make you feel.

They are great to add to your summer salads, have as a snack, or eat when you want something sweet without added sugars. Blueberries are also relatively low, but at about 12 grams of
carbs per serving, aren’t the best option unless you are having less than a full serving of them.
